The Stivs are a bad ass band from California.... They sound like fast, tough rock 'n' roll with big, catchy choruses. AC_DC, New York Dolls, the Ramones, the Stooges, Motorhead and MC5 are the main musical influences at work in the band's sound.
CIA Music is a cool website based out of Chattanooga, TN They have alot to offer bands. Sample contracts, Entertainment Lawyer lists, an interactive calender and much more. A nice site layout makes this website a good find. Check it out.

The first time we saw The Unsatisfied...

The music playing right now is being compiled at random from our Sony
300 CD player. It's incredible how each and every time we turn this
thing on the mix of music comes out so incredible. Of course that
probably has something to do with the eclectic and incredible
collection of music we have and continue to accumulate every day. We
burn a lot of music but we buy a lot of it too. Support your local file
sharing program by downloading stuff you DON'T know about so you can
fall in love with stuff you might never get your hands on otherwise.
And then go support the great music by buying those band's music and
whatever other stuff they sell.

I'm so excited about a new band I was at the Yacht Club last weekend and I heard that Rob Zero of Pretty Vacant and Steve Mack of Julius Pleaser have gotten together to form a band like Joy Division, the Cure and the Smiths. I also heard that they are in the recording studio writing songs for a CD. I'm really excited about this because I love these bands and they're both so cute.

Huge bootleg CD ring smashed
One of the nation's largest bootleg compact disc operations has been
stopped, federal authorities in Atlanta announced Thursday.
The counterfeiters allegedly manufactured $50 million worth of
illegally copied albums by Ja Rule, Ludacris, Britney Spears, Eminem
and numerous other artists, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

YEAH you really have to see this band live, YEAH the leader singer Karen O looks like a sexy Olive Oyl and is incredibly cool with a range of voice you won't believe, and YEAHS we bought an album at the show that includes favorite song "Our Time" which they failed to play last night at Echo Lounge. But that's alright considering it's the BEST show I've seen this year. I have to move them right up there with all time favorites Iggy Pop, Nashville Pussy, Sex Pistols, The Pretenders, and Unsatisfied. [more inside]
