The Official World Of The Fury...Heat It's rare to hear so much raw truth in a band. This music dares you to defy it's right to exist. In fact, you may walk away swearing this music has been around since the first time someone gripped his sweaty palm around a steering wheel in anger. This is pure, primal rock n' roll with country/western sensibilities and a generous layer of road dust. [more inside]

Alison "VV" Mosshart of the United Kingdom minimalist experimental duo
The Kills is flattered when anyone compares her band to Andy Warhol's
late '60s movement.
The Florida-born singer is dramatically inspired by the era, and says
she's read an autobiography of Warhol muse Edie Sedgwick so many times
that she knows it by heart. As a matter of fact, it was the book that
brought her together with partner Jamie "Hotel" Hince. "Edie Sedgwick
is the girl that pretty much bonded Jamie and I. One of the first
conversations we ever had, I walked into his room and I saw that he had
the Edie Sedgwick biography. I was like, 'I've read that book 11
times.' He had probably read it seven or eight times. We had memorized
the book. It was like the bible," she said via telephone from
Sheffield, England, where her band was performing. [more inside]
The latest addition to our Vinyl collection... , I predict will be the subject of another post somewhere in blogland.
The Duane Peters Gunfight ...will put out a full length in April and a 7" in March
Janosch Moldau's "Redeemer" is strange electro-pop. Janosch Moldau is set to release his debut album 'Redeemer' in spring 2005. On my own', the first single to be lifted from the album, was released in 2004. Even though Janosch added a sensual electronic sheen to all of his songs, 'Redeemer' is poles apart from Electroclash or any other superficial hype. Janosch has been recording at his home studio over the last 18 months. The result is 'REDEEMER', an album full of intimacy and silence. "There is a guiding spirit to all of my songs, a personal connection to the things ive seen" says Janosch.

Hank III, the ASSJACK son of Hank Jr. and grandson of legendary country music badass Hank Williams Sr., resembles an XY version of that hirsute ghost in the horror flick The Ring . Long, dark brown hair hides his clean-shaven face as he works his fingers furiously over a red electric guitar patched up with duct tape and a Misfits sticker.

So it looks like Nine Inch Nails will start warming up in late March for sold out shows in London with three small club dates set in California to begin the same day we fly back from our US Bombs vacation. Dammit! On May 3, Reznor will deliver "With Teeth," the first new NIN studio album since 1999's "The Fragile." A full-blown U.S. tour, for which dates have not been set, will follow the new album's release.

BOMP! is the best..... online record store on the web in my high humble opinion. While 80% of my online music buys still comes from Ebay, the other 20% is spent after I've seen an album going for some ridiculas price on Ebay only to realiz that BOMP! more than likely has the same album in NEW condition. BOMP! not only has the cool rare titles that a music freak like myself can't help get excited about, but they also are very cool people who work there, their prices are very very reasonable, and they ship super freaky FAST....so if you are every looking for a copy of Iggy Pop - Live in Michigan Palace or a color vinyl copy of the Hunns latest lp check out BOMP!
