SHUTUP is exactly how I would describe the band we "heard" last night. What's up with the pajamas? I don't get it. Hey they even have an album. I don't get it. But thanks for the free t-shirt. That was real nice.

Rant-N-Rave with Christy Brigitte Darlington.... is a new blog which is perfect for Christy Darlington. If you haven't heard or heard of Darlington then go do it. The new CD, Euthanise Me kicks more ass everytime you listen to it and Christy Darlington has a lot of cool thoughts on music and world today. Get the CD, then go HERE for Christy's personal thoughts on each song on the CD. MusicFilter really likes this band if you haven't figured that out, and me and girl are fairly fucking picky about music we claim to be cool. And don't forget the new Blog.
Velvet Revolver demos available for download... How ironic..their new CD contains anti-piracy software that makes copying songs onto your puter hard(er), yet a Stone Temple Pilot fansite has made a few of the demos from the CD available for download from his website.

Heart releases 'Jupiters Darling' over file sharing network...
The Enigma Variations Vol 1 has finally arrived... its been awhile since we first talked about this album. After many nights of tokin' and talkin' and trying to find a copy of The Enigma Variations Vol. 1 to buy, Ebay has come thru for MusicFilter once again. Today it arrived at our door. I haven't yet convinced punkarella how incredibly cool the song "A Blind Mans Penis" is (the main reason for this purchase) but I'm hoping that it will only take a little time and some more tokin' and talkin' and maybe a little kissin' as well. Read more about the John Trubee masterpiece "A Blind Mans Penis" here.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger... ..signed a law giving recording artists more flexibility to audit record companies' finances in search of potentially unpaid royalties. Don Henely is getting credit for helping to make this happen...what about Courtney? I think she is really the one who pushed the envelope to make this issue come to light recently.
Sid and Nancy's Punk Rock History to Go on Display ...The exhibition, which took 15 years to assemble, also includes original T-shirts, posters and hand-written lyrics, including some by Sid Vicious that were never recorded,,,one poster is a Sex Pistols Never Mind the Bollocks poster that is splattered in blood....

Darlington is a band from Texas... ...that Duane Peters/Disaster Records signed recently and they will not dissapoint all you Disaster roster die hards. I've read a lot about CHRISTY BRIGITTE DARLINGTON having a rep for excellent writing skills. What about his awesome fucking voice? Unique. While Duane may have arguably the best PUNK rock voice in PUNK rock...Christy may have the best POP Punk voices I've heard and he plays some mean guitar as well .....Go Buy this CD if not for the great songs from track one to track 12..but for the killer liner notes by Christy himself. This CD was made the rock and roll way...just sing it, play it, and record it. Fuck yea...i wanna hear some more Darlington..they exemplify rock and roll baby. [more inside]

Iggy wisdom.... I was transformed into a dork in high school, when I first became exposed to the incredible cruelty that children have at their disposal. . . and there's nobody more equipped or inclined towards cruelty than upper-middle-class children whose folks have lots of spare money and big cars and glib speed. I was burdened by that fact that whenever I tried to express myself I would be laughed at. I was also very very shy. Very unhip. Very unglib, and never wore the right clothes. But those days were numbered as soon as I learned how to become excessively aggressive towards others. I learned a unique and indispensable skill, which is to make rock & roll. I stopped my parents dressing me and started becoming a conniving cold-hearted son of a bitch, which I've always been since the beginning of the Stooges right up until the here and now! -Iggy Pop
