I got this CD by Darlington called “Euthanize Me” just the other day and after hearing it, writing a review, and emailing the band I got this incredible PUNK MOTHERFUCK’N’ ROCK and ROLL response by the main man himself, CHRISTY BRIGITTE DARLINGTON. Below you will find lyrics to the songs from the new CD and as a MusicFilter exclusive you can check out what the man behind the songs has to say about them. Hopefully MusicFilter can help bring this bad ass band to Atlanta in August. Even though I have not yet seen Darlington play live, I would suggest to any of you MusicFilter readin’ people out there to check them out if they come to your town.

than fuck them…it funny, it combines my personal
feelings which are pretty clear how i feel about the
topics stated. and some sarcastic jabs- christians
commonly refer to christ’s teachings as the “good
news”. my news is not so good for them- its my
declaration of war on the conservative christian white
nazis.approving abortion and gay marriage is the first
step to tearing down the old racist white america and
forming a new tolerant consciousness.

this one , “Shut up and Skate”, is named after a great
skate comp that used to be held in houston every year,
and zorlac used to make SUAS stickers with a dude with
his fingers in his ears on it…the lyrics are about
people who skate and listen to punk music and shit and
claim to be unbiased and fair and unprejudiced but
really are just like the tools- they just dress
different. whether you shop at abercrombie or hot
topic, or whether you skate or ride bikes or whatever
doesnt make you cool. what makes you cool is if you
are intelligent and unprejudiced and nonjudgemental
and treat everyone with fairness and respect. i got no
time to waste with people who are too backward to
figure it out. people who are bigots, people who form
cliques. and the final kiss-off- true freedom doesnt
exist as long as skateboarding is a crime. not too
long ago bicycle cops harassed me downtown and
threatened to put me in jail for skating on the
sidewalk. they said it was illegal. they said i was
scaring the fat nasty white trash old bags there for
the mary kay convention and that if i hurt one of
those ladies they would get in trouble. i picked up my
board and began walking and they ciut me off and
threatened to seize my board, put me in jail and
refuse to sign papers to release my board from the
evidence room for 4 months.they truly ARE anti- skate
pigs”
you know, what’s funny is that terrorists arent
protected by the laws of the geneva convention or US
law, because they are defined as noncombatants, and
they are defined as not belonging to any country, so
they fall into a grey area where they are not a
citizen of any country and are not an enemy combatant.
so they cannot fall under any governing jurisdiction.
so, if you are charged as a terrorist under the new
terrorism laws, you are not afforded rights as a
citizen of any nation. you are not given due process.
you do not have the right to a lawyer, or a phone call
or anything at all. the only right you have is to a
closed military tribunal. of course, the government
can dictate the rules as they go along, but they dont
have to operate by anyones rules if you are arressted
as a terrorist,.they can torture you all they want-
because you arent protected by the geneva convention
or any nation’s laws, you are basically not a human
with no human rights anymore. think about that.any
crime against the state could be considered a
“terrorist act” and now be charged as such. i could
have been charged as a terrorist for skateboarding-
terrorizing the mary kay convention.

“destroy all lines” is a phrase coined by taggers and
graffitti artists in NYC in the 80’s. they would try
to get all the lines in the subway system- tag all the
cars- all the while mayor koch and the transit auth
tried to stop them.well the artists were taxpayers
too- so why shouldnt they be able to paint the cars
they paid for? why shouldnt i be able to skateboard on
the streeets my tax dollars paid for. my taxes pay the
police’s salaries, so why cant i dictate to them- if i
am paying their paychecks then they would be my
employees right? follow my orders? no. that makes too
much sense, of course.
and of course i dont condone violent upheavel as a
vehicle for sociopoliticocultural change.but its
written from the perspective of the poor class, who
have no hope, who must live out their lives in quiet
desperation while watching the rich white upper class
get richer and richer.the poor struggle to pay rent;
the rich white landlord collects it. the poor struggle
to buy the cheapest most unhealthy scraps you can buy;
the rich white upper class eats the finest healthiest
freshest food at the nicest restaraunts. the poor have
to ride buses, get up hours before work to make it on
time with the bus; the rich white wives dont even
work- they spend their days at the mall spending their
rich husbands’ money while the kids are with the
nanny. the police are actually a paid mercenary force
in place to protect the rich ruling class from a class
war with the poor- which they would lose.without hired
thi\ugs to protect them, their homes would be looted,
churches burned and banks closed. like the end of
fight club. the clock would be reset to zero. crash
all computers . eliminate all credit bureaus. in the
movie max headroom, it portrayed a futuristic world in
which credit fraud was a worse crime than murder. more
and more employers now are doing credit checks before
hiring. these companies will not hire you if you have
a bad credit report. so if you cannot get a job how
will you pay your bills? how will you get money to fix
your credit? how will you eat?
well that wont really matter when the poor are herded
onto the trains, and then sent to the “showers”. it
happenned once before, and noone could believe it
then.

“o.k., so the end line- Oxygen is the next premium
commodity on the big commodities market- which are
things NECESSARY for living in our world -
electricity, gas etc- things that if you control them,
you control the world. and oxygen is that future. if
they charge for oxygen you will have to pay or die. im
sure they have their best people trying to figure out
how to make that a reality. in the meantime they keep
america pacified with booze, gamblins, television,
reality shows, drugs, cars, sex- anything. anything
that can ease the pain of working a slave job and
making crumbs while the rich elite give themselves
huge bonuses and live like kings. if you are drunk
every day then you wont care as much.strung out on
religion- “heavenly bread” so if you are a good person
on earth but poor you’ll be rich in the afterlife.
thats bullshit. the people who want everyone to
believe that are the rich- the ones who are living
NOW.so the big question just who IS the national debt
owed to? not the people, WE owe that money. where did
our taxes go? who knows? who is the debt owed to? i
will tell you. a collection of uberwealthy
international bankers and financiers who control the
world and the commodities market. there are 12
families at the top of the triangle and lesser ones on
the way down.so what happens when a debt is called in
and you have to pay it or default? well if you default
you are at the mercy of your creditor. so what
collateral can be seized? in this case, the u.s.
military is used as collateral to enforce the
families’ will upon any “rogue countries” who default
on their debt. these international financiers (like
the j.p. morgan family, the rockefeller family, etc
etc) bought america many many years ago. you must go
back to the depression. and most other nations are
owned to. but there is not documentation- “plausible
deniability” there’s no paper trail, no evidence to
find- its all done on word.

“a selena song… kind of a risky move- i could incur
the wrath of latino fans who feel i offend with a bad

selena fan, and really want to do her justice really,
its a beautiful song, the original and i want people
to know how great her songs and her voice was. i
really enjoy that “cumbia” style of latino music alot-
and selena’s brother’s band, the Kumbia Kings, are
very awesome as well. i may not pronounce the spanish
precisely but i never claimed to be fluent. its just a
fun, unusual cover and may introduce punkers to the

character in 16 candles , “farmer ted” describes
himself as “king of the dipshits” because he is a hero

what i am. and i DO have bad bowlegs which is
embarrassing. its a physical flaw that is very
unattractive …but kate moss has bowlegs and she made
it big! of course her face looks weird too, sort of

About “Euthanize Me” we are all just a inch away from being a sniper on
the roof. we all have the potential to snap if pushed
enough. this song is about not giving up, fighting the
system thats trying to keep us all down, thats trying
to take away our individuality and rights- i will
never give in. i will die first. and i declare that no
one controls my body. the government can pass any law
they want but ultimately , thru suicide, you take back
that control- thats why theres laws against it- it
angers them that they cannot control that. the white
christian nazis dont just want you to follow their
laws- they want your soul too. they will never have
mine. this song is my declaration of war on the
